Self Care and the Homeschool Teacher

Because as a homeschooling mom, it’s easy to get so wrapped up in your child’s education that you neglect yourself. Their learning is your work, your mission, your life.

But if you don’t prioritize your needs, you’ll become fed up and burned out.

Remember that you are teaching your children in all that you do—including self care.

A Birth Story Filled with Gratitude

Time for an update. Little M was born four weeks ago. While this pregnancy was undoubtedly my most difficult, the labor was a breeze. I woke up from a nap at around 5 in the afternoon on that Saturday. I felt like something was happening, but I wasn't totally sure....

Weekend Inspiration

In 2015 I did a series of little challenges for each weekend. I thought it might be a useful idea for you.

Weekend Inspiration 16 :: Make some Jewelry

So last weekend, I started organizing my clothes for Spring. One of the things I like to do is update my wardrobe a little every season, but of course that can get expensive. Sometimes little things like a new scarf, purse or jewelry can freshen things up. I used to...

Weekend Inspiration 13 :: Spend some time with wildlife

Will it ever be warm again? I'm been babbling about how excited I am for Spring for, like, a month. And it's still freezing! Ok granted, it's not as bad as it was, but a high of 39F is still Winter in my book. So far the only signs of Spring are a little more sunlight...
