Last month we took a trip down South to visit Boo-Boo’s grandparents. Since he turned two this week, it was his last trip he got to fly for free! Here’s a little peek into our time in Baton Rouge, LA.
Though it’s the state capital, there’s not much to do in the way of tourism in Baton Rouge. New Orleans is 45 minutes down the road, so Baton Rouge pretty much just has the basics. One of the most exciting things to do in town is visit Mike, the Bengal Tiger who lives on the campus of Louisiana State University. Hubby and I both graduated from LSU, so it’s always fun to see our old campus– even if it has changed a ton!
The highlight of Boo-Boo’s stay was playing with the water in my in-law’s backyard pool. It was slightly chilly so we couldn’t swim, but that didn’t stop his fun.
And I had an inordinately good time hanging clothes on the line to dry. I’m hoping the next place I live will have an outdoor spot where I can hang clothes. But I guess it would loose it’s luster after a few weeks.
Have you ever been to Baton Rouge?
