Today we had the opportunity to visit the Children’s Museum of Houston with one of my best friends from high school and her sweet daughter. It was nice to catch up and see how big our little ones have gotten in the few months since we last met.

I have clear memories of going to CMH as a little girl. It was in a different location, and of course the exhibits have changed. But they did have a replica grocery store back then. At the time a career as a grocery store cashier seemed like the best. thing. ever.

If you ever visit Houston with your children, this museum is a must-see. Ranked in the Ten Best Children’s Museums by Parents magazine, it features indoor and outdoor exhibits and activities. Some of our favorite exhibits were the Tot Spot and Flow Works. If I lived here I think I’d go every week.

Here’s some of the fun we had:

{Could I replicate something like these at home?}

{Phone man, made of recycled phones. He didn’t know what to do with the payphone underneath.}
{Bring extra clothes–or even swim trunks–for the splashy fun in Water Works.}
